This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
Light refraction in glass block. Computer illustration showing beams of light being refracted as they pass through a glass block (grey, vertical) at increasing angles of incidence (top to bottom). Refraction is the change in direction of propagation (bending) of a wave (in this case light) that occurs when the wave passes from one medium to another with a different density. As light passes through the block it slows down and is refracted due to the greater density of the glass. The beams are refracted once when entering the glass (left) and again when they leave it (right). The greater the angle of incidence, the greater the amount of refraction.
