This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
Mission Espada is the southernmost of the Spanish Missions near San Antonio. Along with Mission San Juan, it seems remote and sun-baked in the heat of a Texas summer. While we can jump in our air-conditioned cars after visiting here, you have to marvel about the tenacity of the people who called this part of the country home in past centuries. Now commonly called just Mission Espada, it was called Mission San Francisco de la Espada when it was moved to the San Antonio area in 1731. It is one of four missions that comprise San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site encompassing all the missions in San Antonio including the Alamo. Mission San Francisco de la Espada remains a very active parish. The convento was rehabilitated by the archdiocese in modern times and now serves as workshops and temporary quarters for the Franciscan priests and brothers who returned in the 1930s to still serve their local community as they originally had when...
About Joan Carroll
Protected with PIXSY About Joan Carroll: I am a Fort Worth Texas-based outdoor photographer who feels at home while on the road...in Texas, in the US, around the world. Although travel and photography were dual interests from a young age, the coming of the digital camera provided undreamed of opportunities and unleashed previously untapped creativity. My photographic goal is to travel the world in a curious yet respectful way, taking the time to see and understand the unique story of each place I visit. Wherever I go I want to walk every street, hike every trail, ride the bus or metro, climb every tower, walk around and through every monument, and then do it all over again when the light changes. In every place, light, mood, color, and...
