Rain that had been in the forecast for the morning, finally caught up with me in the afternoon. And with the rain came to fog. I still went to Morton Overlook and waited for sunset.

It was cloudy. But at least it had stopped raining. Keeping an eye on the clouds it looked like there's a gap and the sun will break through just around sunset. Then it started to drizzle, then rain... the wind picked up and within seconds it was pouring down, like somebody emptied a one of those Gatorade buckets they use at sporting events over your head pouring. I just about manage to throw the rain cover over my camera. Keeping the lens dry was impossible. And then the sun broke through and lit up the rain and it looked like the whole valley was on fire... it was AMAZING! I just kept shooting, not expecting to get anything, but was able to salvage a few, not that any of them do justice what I witnessed that day.

I am a self-taught fine art photographer based in South Florida. I've been photographing landscapes and wildlife for over 25 years now. In the last 10 years or so I've mainly been focusing on the HDR technique to show the world what my eyes see. I love capturing the colorful sunrises along South Florida's east coast mainly, but also enjoys shooting mountain vistas, lakes and waterfalls and lately I have been quite obsessed with lighthouses.
