This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
The Jamaican Tody (Todus todus) is endemic to the island of Jamaica, and is locally called "Rasta Bird" and "Robin Redbreast". It is a small songbird measuring about 3.5 inches in length. It is easily identifiable by its red throat, blue-grey eyes, reddish bill, white breast, yellow or green wash on its lower belly, and bright green on its wings, back and head. It is a common resident in Jamaica and can be found in forests, mostly at mid-levels. It feeds on moths, caterpillars, flies and small fruits. In order to feed, it perches on twigs under foliage and gleans insects from the underside of leaves.
This adorable Jamaican Tody perched on a small branch was photographed in Jamaica on 2-15-2012. I used a Nikon D7000 camera body and a Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 VR2 telephoto lens to capture this image.
