This nostalgic scene of a young girl finding strength and inspiration for her life through her beloved Grandmother's journal appeals to me - and this seems such an appropriate remedy for our troubled times. When I contemplate this intimate moment, I sense the resolute "hope" on her face and the light in her eyes, and it lifts my spirits. And perhaps, if I have done my job, you will be uplifted, too.
