Description
Camp Vocation is all but gone. The few remaining structures are mute testament to a very dark time in U.S. history. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Japanese-Americans were rounded up and confined in these interment camps. They had committed no crimes. Their properties were seized and their lives were no longer their own. Vocation was about a mile away from our ranch. All that was left were ramshackle buildings, rattlesnakes and a sign posted along the railroad right-of-way.
This work is original and done using Microsoft Paintbrush and Photoshop Elements.
