This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
This is a tribute to "Snowball", a Madison, Wisconsin icon many years ago. Anyone that has lived in the Madison area for several years is no doubt familiar with this figure. James Adam Riley was a homeless man, working as a window washer on State Street and loved by all that knew him. The Wisconsin State Journal called him "The gentleman professor of philosophy and window washing". In his younger days he worked in construction in the area. No one ever really knew much about him, not even his real age. Snowball loved to collect ballpoint pens, which he carried in the pockets of his overalls. He died in 1975 during gall bladder surgery. He left this world with no trace of any family.
