Very good!!! I love your rich lights and shadows, very soft and captivating..

teach me!!!

Wow, I'm just astounded. I love the dramatic lighting you use for your still lifes.

Beautiful, it's like a photograph

I don't use anything to soften or diffuse the light source. You don't want anything to obscure the effect or (lightest light) on your subject. This painting is currently on exhibit at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Click here to see a higher resolution image of this still life oil painting on my Website.

My still life's are all painted from life. I use a flood light set up with one source of light. I aim the light at a forty five degree angle in order to achieve a form lighting affect. I like to have at least seventy to seventy five percent of my subject exposed to the light. Twenty five to thirty percent of the still life objects are left in shadow.

Thanks for the complements!

I like your work. Do you work from life/photos or both? I curious about your lighting. Do you use natural or artificial? if it is artificial, do you soften the source?

I agree! How perfect!

Wow, this is a beautiful piece.

This was a gift for my sister who absolutely loves the picture (but unfortunately hates the frame I chose). Tom Gari is a friend of mine and I've purchased from him in the past.....he never disappoints!

I purchased this photo because it looked just like the section of the falls my husband and our friends climbed. I hung it on a wall with 3 of our photos of us climbing these falls. Love it. I've purchased from Fine Art America before and the quality is excellent from the photo to the frame and backing. Highly recommend!

When I ordered this framed poster, I did not notice that the frame cut off the writing on the top of the poster. It looks awful and it was a special gift. I am very disappointed in the finished product and can't find a way to contact customer service. When I fill out the form with a question about this it keeps telling me it can't be submitted. So I guess I wasted my money and disappointed my son.
