This is a scenic graphic landscape with vivid colors to brighten the skyline,could work with any room or space. The sunset (or sunrise if you prefer) is reflected off the still water lake. I want to show this painting as a peaceful place, one that has a cheery and bright side to it.
There is blue water with a orange glow with lavender/purple clouds.
The tree line is leafless with the same being reflected on the water.
Water is a still, non moving type of lake which reflects the bare trees.
Nature restores the soul to put a lot of thoughts into perspective. Donna Dixon is a painting artist and lives in Georgia, USA. She has lived in both Houston and Austin,Texas as well. Dixon, who is a life long, self taught artist, trained and worked in the Medical Lab field until an early retirement. Dixon's style has been described as Modern Expressionism. She describes her artwork as colorful and positive. She says she is inspired by Impressionist painters and nature is one of her most common sources of inspiration, and elephants are one of her favorite subjects.
