About Patti Shonek
Patti Shonek is a Visual Artist and Art Tutor. The primary focus of her work is in clay (sculpture and hand-building) and fibre arts (wet and needle felting and eco dying of fabrics). She also enjoys combining the different media she works in. The art she creates tends to raise social awareness, with a special emphasis on individuals that do not have a voice. Her work is organic, earthy, raw, authentic, and it has been described as "prolific", "innovative", "non-conformist" and "one-of-a-kind". She also enjoys teaching (both children and adults), specializing in those who have developmental disabilities and ABI's. In her spare time she beads, paints (mostly abstracts) and spends time in nature close to her roots and the earth. ...
