"White House and Tulips, No. 1" is an original watercolor, 22" X 15" on 300-pound Kilimanjaro cold-press paper using American Journey and Davinci paints. Every spring, the tulips blossom and transform the view of the White House from Lafayette Square.
Virgil Carter, BWS, PWS, PWCS, TWS, is a watercolor painter, teacher, demonstrator, workshop leader, author and Internet commentator. He paints primarily in watercolor, both en plein aire and from his studio in Boerne, TX. Primarily a representational painter, Virgil paints a variety of subjects, but enjoys most painting landscapes and town/urban subjects.
