This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

When there's a will there's a way to deal with the harshest of environments, people included. In this spectacular painting you have shown a winner, a survivor!.......L/F.

Twila Rhodes
Amazing qork on all your animals,,wonderful detail
Ken Day replied:
I love animals and others do also. But I wanted to offer people a new view on want they love. Not to say there's anything wrong with all the beautiful animals artwork out there but I thought people might enjoy seeing a different view for a change. How has these theory worked out for me ? Well I love painting them. But as for people they're a little stuck in the mud to changes. Still buying more traditional animal artwork. Ha I love painting traditional style also. I jest thought I'd offer them a change of pace. I paint what I enjoy and if others love it all the better. I'd rather painting which I enjoy then create images others wish for me to paint. Commission artwork is not for me. It would drain my spirit to painting. Jest making it another job.
Laurie Search

Ken Day replied:
Thank you Sandi. Mountain Goats are very surefooted. Though it hasn't happened as far as I know. Hang on to your chair Sandi when viewing this painting because I wouldn't want you falling out of it.
Ross Odom
The thing that gets me is its realness.
Ken Day replied:
Thank you Ross. I try staying focused on my subject and why give it a home fitting for it.
Lenore Senior
Very drawn to this spectacular painting. Unusual and beautiful! v/f
Ken Day replied:
Thank you ever so much Lenore. That's very sweet of you to say. I like not painting in the same style. Some the subject is more detailed and the background lass so and others I spend grant time and effort on the background. I fine it's all in the meaning of the piece. In some paintings the background holds more meaning the your subject. I love being free as an artist to paint as I see fit.
Anne-Elizabeth Whiteway
Hello again Ken... Back again to admire this and your other fine works. Hope all is well with you and family. Love this mountain goat painting/the surroundings and everything about this. F/V

I agree so much with Jane Smalls recent comment on this one Ken; you are a master at what you do - the incredible mountain goat is indeed wondrous and to the viewer one with the mountain - I feel the cold and his amazing determination to keep going regardless - outstanding and enjoyable artwork - thanks for the visit and lovely comment on my work!
