My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.
Winter's light by Karen Cook - If anyone comes to visit Nova Scotia, I am sure the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove is at the top of their 'bucket list'...The problem is...it is at the top of everyone's bucket list! Which means...capturing the stark beauty of the scene without hundreds of people in the image is difficult in spring,summer or fall.
So a road trip in late winter seemed just the perfect solution!
There has been a lighthouse here since 1868. The current structure was built in 1914 and is perched atop the rocky shores, where the waves of the Atlantic Ocean crash nonstop. The rocks below the lighthouse are known as the 'black rocks' as they are constantly awash with the powerful waves and have been known to sweep many an unsuspecting visitor into the cold waters of St. Margaret's Bay, some are lucky to be rescued...others not. There are signs everywhere reminding people of the dangers. "Keep off the black rocks"!
